Job description
Our client is a specialist in RNA technology focused on genomics, machine learning, and synthetic biology.
Role
The successful candidate will work in tandem with a molecular biologist: together, you will be responsible for preclinical programs, including mRNA, gene editing, and gene therapy modalities.
Leveraging AI and genomics platforms, you will collaborate with the broader team of scientists and engineers. You will be a contributor to sequence design and experiment planning. You will conduct in-depth analysis of data, make connections with known biology, and progress our platform by improving our computational pipelines.
And with all this, you will engineer sequences that will enable new genetic medicines.
Qualifications
- PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology or related field.
- Industry experience is a strong plus.
- Senior: 5+ years as a postdoc or in industry, with ample experience leading scientific projects.
- Expertise in Python and experience with collaborative software development environments (e.g., git).
- Experience with NGS and genomics datasets, including
- working with public datasets (e.g., ENCODE, single-cell atlases, GTEx, etc),
- knowledge of state-of-the-art computational biology methods and packages.
- Experience working in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with ML methods in sequence design or protein design is a plus.
- Experience working in the field of gene regulation is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with massively parallel sequencing-based assays (e.g., MPRAs, CRISPR screens, sort-seq) is a plus.
