BioTalent are partnering with a globally leading pharmaceutical company based in the Vaud region of Switzerland, to support the hire of a Director of Downstream Processing with expertise in the development and manufacture of biosimilars from mammalian cell systems.

This role will offer you

• The opportunity to lead and direct an exciting DSP division, defining technical strategy and overseeing the development life cycle as a key member of the process development division.

You will be responsible for

• Overseeing in-house and external downstream activities through process development, characterisation, validation, CMC documentation and clinical trial supply.
• Follow QbD principles to set timelines, milestones and costs for projects, collaborating with international manufacturing departments.
• Provide expertise to support the progression of projects and ensure consistent supply for licensed processes.
• Provide guidance for scientific operations, driving issue resolution and ensuring effective collaboration with partners.

You will bring the following

• A BSc or higher in a relevant Life Science degree, with significant experience in the Biologics industry.
• Significant experience working with Downstream Process Development including preparing and reviewing CMC documentation and the use of QbD principles.
• Fluency in English required, fluency in French would be beneficial.
