BioTalent is partnered with a world-leading product design and development consultancy with a client base ranging from medical to consumer and transport. We are seeking mechanical engineers to join their fast-growing team of engineer consultants to work on medical device design and development projects with some of the world’s leading medical device and pharmaceutical companies. You will be working across the whole product lifecycle and within teams including electrical, software, mechanical and human factors engineers.

In this role, you will:

Leading and delivering projects and project tasks within agreed timescales and budgets.
Developing and implementing creative solutions and meeting key requirements.
Writing and reviewing technical design documentation and test protocols.
Collaborating across teams and disciplines to ensure designs are delivered to the highest standards.
Contribution to projects across the full project lifecycle.
Promoting and delivering internal improvement projects including the development and maintenance of processes and standards.

You will have:

A 1st or Upper 2nd degree in mechanical engineering, or an equivalent broad-based technical qualification.
Experience in product design or development in a regulated sector. Medical devices and/or pharmaceutical is preferred.
Experience in applied Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools and computational techniques is highly desired.
Knowledge and experience in low-volume production technologies as well as high-volume processes such as injection moulding.
