Job description

BioTalent is pleased to be supporting an RNA-based therapeutics biotechnology company expanding its clinical-stage platform to treat other disease areas. We are supporting them in their search for a Principal Scientist specialising in haematology. In this role, you will support the development of the haematology research strategy, manage the program and direct scientist project teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, conduct and interpret experiments that advance the haematology program.

  • Conduct data analyses with critical evaluation and present your findings to the leadership team.

  • Mentor, supervise and train a team of scientists.

  • Manage operational aspects and ensure that project milestones are delivered according to agreed timelines.

  • Generate and present project progress reports to the R&D team and key stakeholders.

  • Monitor the academic literature and meetings for the latest developments in the field.

  • Liaise with industrial and academic collaborators when needed.


You will have:

  • PhD in haematology or a closely related discipline.

  • Minimum of 3 years post PhD experience in biotech or pharma relating to haematology.

  • Translational research experience is beneficial.
