BioTalent is pleased to be working with a unique London based microbiome startup organisation who are applying their ground-breaking technology within the agriculture space.

Our client is backed by some exceptional venture capital investment, allowing them to advance to the next step of development and are looking to hire an AI Lead with a keen interest in the application of AI methods/tools to Biology.

You will be responsible for:
A complete list of responsibilities is to be released within the next few days.
We have been instructed to engage with talented people who meet the below criteria early as this is an urgent hire for the business.

Active team leadership and AI representation (internal and external).
Handling sparse or missing data, small data (p >> n).
Variable selection and dimensionality reduction activities.
Working with ML/AI modelling frameworks e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow, MLflow.
Applying AI tools and methods to microbiome and biological processes.
Supporting the ever-changing startup initiatives and wider business units.

You will bring the following:

3-5 years of relevant industry experience or PhD with ideally 1-2 years industry experience.
Experience with handling sparse or missing data, small data (p >> n).
Experience with variable selection and dimensionality reduction (high-dimensional data).
Experience with at least one ML/AI modelling framework, e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow, MLflow.
Prior biological experience, ideally using AI for biological data (microbiome highly sought after).
Desirable - Experience with cloud computing and/or front-end development.
